(株式会社ローソン Kabushiki Kaisha Rōson, TYO: 2651) is a Japanese convenience store chain. Lawson is a grocery store chain in Japan. After opening its first outlet in Okinawa in July 1997, Lawson is noted as the first grocery store chain to open outlets in 47 prefectures in Japan. In May 2011, Lawson opened his 10,000th store in Japan.[4] As of March 2013, Lawson had 11,174 stores in Japan.[1]
